Went out just pass the bridge and dropped our 4 traps and 4 lines with chicken and bunker...Maybe one crab and tons of BIG UGLY spider crabs. After awhile we made our move and the same thing.I guess we moved four or five times. Each time we moved we got a couple of crabs and those ugly looking disgusting, dirty did I mention UGLY, spider crabs...Got off the water at around 2:30 with about 17 or 18 crabs.......
Bad catch  Cry  Cry but a great day on the water and what made it even better the great company I had...Thanks Steve...........

                                            Mutz

Nice try Jerry, it beats work and you had good company. It could have been worse, they could have been all fuglies. Huh  laugh laugh Still time to close out with a bang, might have to go south though. Wink

Thanks for the report Mutzy! At least you boys were out and had a fun day on the water. As Joe Crabs mentioned it looks like warmer more southern water's may be the way to go now.  Again thanks!  Smiley

The crabbing wasn't so good, but the company was great. Had a good time, despite the lack of crabs and sleep.
It was nice to finally meet someone from the forum. If everyone else is as nice a guy as Mutzy, can't wait to
meet you all! It sure was a banner crabbing year at the Navasink, but it's winding down. Hadn't been there for
several years, (usually go further south), but made 4 trips there this year. Hope next year is more of the same.
Jerry, thanks for the good company. See you next year.

Hey Mutzy,

I have to agree with you, spider crabs are really nasty looking.  Seasons past we would get them all the time, for some reason this year not a one.  I guess something brought them back.  Anyway, glad to hear you got out again, for me even a half dozen can make a great sauce.

Sorry to hear about the catch Jerry, at least you got out, hopefully not for the last trip of the season but if so, there's always next year.

And Steve, glad to hear you and the Mutz met up and got out for some crabbing, many of us feel the same way.  Great job guys  thumbsup
