Georgia's crabs are big and beautiful. Caught two bushels in my traps over the weekend. Sorry that y'all Chesepeak Bay crabbers are only getting one or two crabs in your traps. I believe all that "polution" from Washington D.C is hurting the bay. Crapping year round here in Georgia is just wonderful. Don't give up as crappers here are shipping 30,000 pounds a week of Georgia Blue Crabs to Maryland. The next time you are at a Maryland Crab house ask the waiter if these are "wild Georgia crabs". 8)

I was in Saint Simons Island Ga a few weeks back & took my dad out for his first time crabbing. We caught  2 dz nice keepers, had a few coldies & had a good time together. Georgia crabbing is great!!

Hey, Wild Bill! I am the next sound down.Shrimping is great right now and will be through Christmas. Caught some very large shrimp with my castnet over the weekend. Had about 35 lbs. of tails after heading the shrimp. Y'all should be catching some medium to jumbo shrimps now in St. Catherine Sound. As you know Sapelo Sound is the Capital of wild sweet Georgia shrimp on the East Coast. 8)

WILD BILL

Going this weekend, cast nets ready! We caught so many crabs last Fall that I picked for seven hours--have not put the traps out since.

Shrimp, crabs, big redfish and trout, I just don't know what to do first. Catching shrimp, catching crabs, catching fish or just enjoying the outdoors. My cousins from North Carolina came to visit me on Sept. 9th weekend. Full moon tides and small craft warnings. Fished inside of the barrier islands for big flounder, croakers and whiting.  Located a shrimper and bought 30 lbs. of  med-large shrimp for $3.00 lb. Just to windy to throw a cast net for shrimp. They went home smiling all the way. At the market these sweet wild Georgia shrimp would be about $7.50 lb.

WILD BILL

No luck shrimping, caught a few crabs and a bunch of mullet. Still trying to figure the fishing out---hard fishing in such a fertile fishery.
