BF,

glad you all went out and caught some crabs, but I do think wearing a PFD is a good idea... I do when I go out.... like D said they do you no good when the boat flips and it isn't already on... and the youngest boy MUST have one on.. I don't think the guys on here are trying to give you grief, but rather are concerned for you and your friends safety .......  I would rather wear my PFD and be safe over looking "cool"  .....  just saying...and in some respects you
come a long way......Besides I thought you were a sea cadet, and that would have enforced the whole idea of wearing your PFD.....
