Since the advent of the internet and certain individuals from the Jersey area who shall not be mentioned... It has been deemed that there are too many out-of-towners ascending onto the Wye.  A bill has been introduced to limit crabbing to the residents of Talbot and Queen Annes counties.

This is how it's going to go.  After I kick your A$$ i'm going to run you through the wood chipper and put you in containers in the freezer to use in my crab pots!  The really sad part?  You let an old man kick your A$$!!!

I heard this bill was introduced, so they could have time to untangle 2 Maryland Blue Crabs that were caught in 5000 feet of trotline!

Are you serious? A bill for the state? or for the county?

If it's only for the county, wouldn't that apply only to launching boats and not for people who drive their boats into the Wye from other counties? I thought the wye was no different than any other tributary connected to the bay?

Doesn't sound fair to me.   Sad

He just fell for a old DocCrabs ploy.  See, since Joe knows crabs, he told Slayer that all the Mumbos were in the Pax!, Slayer beat feet to the Pax!  Joe is now banging Mumbo bushel from Slayers old spot!

That would be cool but the word out of Tampa is George Steinbrenner is going to buy the WYE river and move it to New York.

Actually the board scrapped the idea though said parties complaints were noted. It seems the board learned after case investigation these crazy crabbers were traveling hundres of miles to crab and sometimes came down back to back days. They also found out these nuts went to NC for Tin Crabs. Aboard member raised the question that these people may actually move here if we banned them. After realizing crab resturants could be turned into pizza parlors and a Yankee invasion they decided the best of two evils was to leave the non-resident regulations as is. laugh Sorry Slayer nice try. That bill is [curd].  what about MD residence who don't live in a county that borders the bay, or the WYE, or whatever.  out of state, well, you can make a case, but out of county is garbage.
