If I ever get a 9 inch crab, I don't care if it's dead... I'm keeping it.  Grin

I didn't know there was a contest. All I have to take a picture of is the steamed top shell of one that measured 9-7/8 inches. It was a big black bottomed mudder. I wish I had taken pics of it live. The one thing I noticed right away was how long the points were on it. When a she bitty makes its final shedding the points become elongated. I was thinking that this is most likely true with the males as well. It's just rare that males get to full maturity before being harvested. Is there somewhere on this page to enter the contest? I doubt that I will ever catch another on that size but who knows.....

To late to enter now.   The 2012 contest deadline will be announced early and often next year.
