so my son and my old man went up to colonial beach today to try our luck, state police stopped by and said we now need a license to crab???  he let us go, thank god for a 7 year old on the pier, but i've never heard of a license needed to crab off a pier, been doin it 20+ years out there, and my father 50+ years in maryland waters.  anyone know anything about a reg. change???

If you were crabbing from the pier in CB on the Potomac River side with a hand line, you do not need a license...
