I know this isn't crabbing (well, it can be a secondary fishing !) but hopefully some people here will know...

We're looking for some places to rent a couple of boats to do some flounder fishing this weekend. We've tried Bobbies Boats in LBI but didn't have much luck earlier in the year. Any places within 2 hours of gloucester county is great.

Thanks!

You may want to give Frank's a try out of Strathmere. http://www.franksboatrentals.com/ or Whale Creek Marina in the same area http://whalecreekmarina.com/ Decent crabbing and plenty of good fishing spots.

Thanks for the reply (anyone who has any input I would be grateful for it).

I've heard of Franks but my brother told me it was a very small area. Never seen it myself, but those two are now options.

Anyone try Rands or that area?

This is an old thread but I did check out dolfin dock about a month ago, thanks for the suggestion. Does anyone know of any places in Fortescue? Used to be a bunch but they closed down.

No rental boat places left in Fortescue.  The last couple of places closed up a few years ago.  You might want to check out Sea Isle City.  Don't recall the name of the boat rental place (maybe Larsen's?), but now is the perfect time to fluke fish while crabbing in the back bay there.
