Has anyone been to Beaver Dam? If so, is it worth the trip?

Went to Beaver Dam on 8-12-05 with my Crabbin Buddy "Pasta Al" who decided to shave his head the night before to change our luck. He looks like Mini-Me's father. Got out to Holywood beach at 6:15 and caught the 2nd half of the high tide going out. Hit them fairly good until approx 9am. Went in at 10:30 on one of the lowest tides that i have seen(barely made it thru those narrow channels with my 4hp motor.
Ended up with 55 keepers(mostly in the 5- 6" range, but most all were "meaty".
There were 18 boats out there, which is the most that I've seen at the Dam in a while. A good indication that the crabs are back.
If anyone is going to go, the Phila Daily News has a $5 coupon in there Thursday edition.

Nothing like a Bologna Sandwhich & a Cold Beer at 7am on the water!

Actually I used to favor a roast beef sandwich and a Rolling Rock in my younger days.  Now it's more like a turkey hoagie from WaWa and a diet Coke<G>
