Hi all,

Plan to go out crabbing next Saturday near Atlantic City.  I usually go out of OC/Somers Point and crab the Great Egg Harbor, always do pretty well.  Only downside is its a drive to the marina.
This weekend have some family members joining us and therefore considering going out from a spot closer to home where we don't have to drive and can walk to marina.  The boundary would be 322/40 bridge down to Longport.  Never crabbed there before so was wondering how the crabbing was there before deciding.  Doesn't have to be incredible, but there needs to be some action.  heading out around 7:30a, think HT is 9:30ish and will stay out til about noon.  Any input greatly appreciated.   Don't have to tell me spots - just that there ARE spots!

Are you going to rent a boat, or are you looking to crab from a pier?

We'll be renting a boat either out of OC to crab in Great Egg or out of Margate which would allow us up into AC, but not past Longport Sad

You can crab the back bays behind Margate.

thanks for the confirmation - crabbed back there about 5 years ago and haven't been back since.  Hopefully this trip will be more plentiful!
