Thousands of dead nutria have washed up along the Lake Pontchartrain shoreline and Mississippi beaches.   http://www.inquisitr.com/321159/dead-nutria-rats-washing-up-by-the-thousand-in-wake-of-hurricane-isaac/

Perhaps I should run out there with a 1,000 feet of line, put a hitch around their tails, and run them like a trotline; got to be some good crabbing in that wrackline.  The Mandeville area is where I crab.  I got my pots outbefore the storm or certainly would have lost them.  Even if I did have them out, I couldn't compete with that bait.

Hurricanes+Nutria: Now you know the secret to all the 10" Louisiana crabs Wink

Hope all those affected by Isaac fared well.
