I HAVE BEEN READING SOME OLD POST ABOUT GIGANTIC CRABS NO ONE COULD VERIFY. IT MADE ME START WONDERING HOW DNR CAME UP WITH A CITATION SIZE OF 9 INCHES.I HAVE CAUGHT SOME THAT HAVE BEEN 81/2 PLUS NEVER A 9.I BELEIVE THE STATE RECORD IS A LITTLE OVER 10 INCHES,AND ON SOME WEBSITES DNR REPORTS OF DREDGING UP 11 INCH CRABS.MOST CITATION SIZES SEEM A LITTLE MORE OBTAINABLE,HAS ANYONE EVER GOT ONE?

i think all the big ones ran off after trying to read posts written in all caps.   laugh  Someone on this board reported catching (all in one day) 7 or 8 crabs that were all larger than 8 inches.  Maybe it's just location?  Or cynically maybe it's just people posting on here stretch the size and number crabs.

It's probably something in the middle.   Tongue
