Don't know which is tougher fighting gators here or fighting the other crabbers like you guys have to do up there on weekends on the Wye.
. BTW I'm waiting to see the weight of some of those Wye River crabs.

crabguy what is the biggest crab you have seen. i've seen a 9 inch from the chester . still have the shell .A friend of mine said he caught a 9+1/4 out of the same river , didn't see it but don't think he would lie . wondering because i've met people who say they have caught them over 10 inches and thought maybe they were exagerating , maybe they didn't have a tape measure. have tried to look up a state reord but had no luck guess they don't take crabs as seriously as we do?

Ken take the picture in the higher KB or MB, send it to me if you don't have the software or not sure how to clean it up. I take pictures over 1 MB sometimes and shrink them and they come out clear.

The unclear point is the right side with the crabs long skinny point, I can't do anything with that picture, too fuzzy with the point near the claw, he just needs to take another picture on the end of the ruler at that point and it will be easy to see the numbers with the fat left smaller point, I am sure it will clearly show it's a 9 even with the lower pixels. He has the crab. Good Luck and great looking crab anyway.

This crab was caught at Norwalk CT on 9-16-05 low tide. The big one measures 7.5 inches teh smaller one is around 6.5 inches. I did catch another one that measured 7 and 3/8/ inches also..

He came out of the water like that. When he was in the bucket he got irate and snipped the pincer right off of a smaller crab.
He was delish.
