My neighbor says about 1 in 10 are legal size, his son says 1 in 8. They still have a brown bottom shell-- they said farther north they are cleaner but not much sioze there either. I'll start mid April as always.

Spoke to someone yesterday that pulled 60 pots for 18 crabs.  OBX sound side.

I love the late summer and fall. We are over the hump now. Things start to slow down. The vacationers start to leave and traffic starts getting back to normal. The ducks are going to be coming in and the crabs are the biggest and heaviest of the year.
