Honey do's done early yesterday, took a run with son over the Curtis Creek for a few hours of crabbin'.  Whoa, worst I've seen this year and from an area that I consider to be my failsafe spot. Caught the end of the low tide and beginning of the high.  Five crabs -- nice size -- but only five.  Water was discolored -- you could definitely see it in the prop wash.  Had a series of heavy thunderboomers move thought the area the night before, so discoloration probably a result of runoff. Gave up on crabbin' and broke out the ultralights to harass the perch.  Even the perch were off.  This from a place that has produced many citation sized perch and usually a fish on every cast.
So, a question for you all:  Do thunderstorms affect crabbin'??  Will heavy lightning and sonic's from thunder keep crabs down/inactive??  Thunder/lightning certainly affects our Minature Pincher -- she takes shelter under the sofa and won't come out for nuthin'.  So, what are  your thoughts about thunder/lighting and crabbin'??

Sometimes when a front comes thru it can affect the fishing and crabbing
