30 traps in water at 6:42 am. 4 runs, not a thing. Picked up and moved to a different spot i thought would be good, first had to talk my buddy into moving, but sure enough it was a good move by me. Caught 20 nice crabs. still a lot of females. Not too bad for april crabbing.

Great catch! Nice way to land on them. It is clear they are slow or not moving. Just need a couple weeks of 70s and 80s to get the water up.

How deep were they and what did you use for bait?

water depth was from 6 to 13 feet. ran a loop to see what depths they were in, they were not in a consistant depth. used necks thats the only thing i think i will be using all year since the price of clam went up and being from PA they are hard to get up this way anyway

Boots. How was the quality? Were they all heavy? I wonder because it seemed like a lot of crabs were still kinda light in the fall. I know they can die if they bed down if they are really light.
