It was our first trip for crabbing but failed.
My wife and I badly wanted to catch some crabs.
We went down to Southport, NC on Memorial weekend. We used chicken leg as a bait but it didn't sink.
How can we improve our crabbing skill?

I used Turkey necks one time. I tossed them out and to my surprise, they just floated. It was a epic fail lol. So you guys have chicken legs on a fishing pole? How in the he!! are you gonna catch crabs like that. Just try handlines. Use chicken necks. You could also try some crab traps. Your wife has a beautiful smile laugh laugh

Lead weights?  1/2 oz to 2 oz depending on the current.

LOL...trim the fat off the chicken.  Fat naturally floats.  Anyone who's skinny and had to try and stay afloat in water knows it's hard.   Grin

but seriously adding a lead weight would be ideal.

@crabbywaters....Fishing rods are handlines with a fancy handle/spool.   Smiley

oh and bioholic, so obvious you photoshopped that.  To make it more believable you need to alter the shadow to reflect the circular 2 dimensional head..then i'd believe that picture.  LOL.   laugh
