The OP has established that he has multiple rec licenses in his family and properly knows the rules for legally harvesting them.    Let's not focus on this point any longer.

Wow.. difficult crew here.. I guess I will explain a little slower for some of you people who just don't understand.

Not only have I been crabbing since I was 5 but my grandfather was a commercial crabber and fisherman, so I grew up around it and taught by the best.  No offense, but I have more crabbing experience then at least 80% or more of the people here.  Sorry, but its true.  I am also a Global Moderator on a NJ fishing site since 2007 in which I have a boat load of information and tips to share if you guys can just shut up and listen.

Yes, I have a permit for 2 pots, as well as each of my family members.  Yes, I have my numbers on each buoy.  Yes, I know the laws and regs and follow them.  Yes, I have a boat large enough to fit everyone on my boat who has a permit.  Yes, I have a freezer full with 2 flats of bunker to use for bait.

Other then the need to check in on crabbing reports, I have no need for any other information from anyone on this site about crabbing, but I am willing to share what I know with others.

Now lets start over.  If anyone has anything to say, send me a private message and I will prove my experience level with you if you don't believe what I say.  Or should I just post pictures of full bushels of crabs instead?

And I certainly hope you continue to share your wealth of knowledge with us.

I noticed some crabs swimming on top with a female below them so I think they still aren't ready to be caught..

Shedders Cool

Funny... Doesn't sound like a guy with a wealth of crustacean knowledge, but what do I know.  Undecided
