You could send Mr Breeze a message. They only do high quality crabs. At least you won't have to worry about buying trash crabs.
he only sells them by the dozen

Dang.............I might have to just ask KC the answer to this....OK, then given all your expertise, ____________(insert your name here), how many would you say are in a bushel and this will be over... Wink (maybe have to b-mail catbird for an answer)...

My "guess" was 4 doz, maybe 50, 52......I've had a good run with 42 nice crabs, but only a dozen maybe over 7" and it was close, but they were not packed in good...Still looked like we could only get about another 8 or 10 max, without removing claws..

Had a guy say a "friend" bought 2 dozen over 7" for $55 a dozen....I didn't WANT to call him a liar, but he forced me into it...

I stopped in Meding and sons on Rt. 1 the other day to get some crab soup, delicious by the way, they had #1 large 6-7" for $240 a bushel. and Jumbo's +7" for $89 a dozen. I would say there are 50-60 7" crabs in a bushel so go with 4 1/2 dozen @ $89 a piece and come up with $400. Enjoy!!!!
