From their site "Please call us for current specials and availability."

In red is the key word.

Point was 10" crabs?  When the [Sam Hill] are they going to be available?

4 doz is all you will get. less if they are bigger. $300 at least. and that is hardly making a profit with good LA crabs. MD doesn't have enough big crabs to make a bushel rite now.

That's my favorite time to crab. Crabs are big and fat. Only people out in fall and late fall are the more serious crabbers. Most of your weekend warriors (July 4th and a couple other weekends guys) are gone. Weather is nice, you can't beat it.

Ever find them?

I was looking for a price mainly...I would "probably" never buy a bushel @$400, but @ $110 for a dozen, special occasion...Reason for post was I had a guy say that he could get 7"+ for $55 dozen(July 4th weekend)...I DID NOT want to call him a liar, but was forced to Grin....Was looking at what a comm would get, then from a retailer, such as my "friend" did Roll Eyes...Someone said you could get La crabs for that?? I doubt that too, but at a per/pd price??

The restaurant by me gets a bushel for between $100 and $140.. The $140 are for the largest crabs they have.  He gets them from a restaurant distributor..

the $140 bushel are size #1's which are 6 1/2" and above, so I am sure a good amount on in the 7" mark and over.

Yes can get them from La but why has people became so picky about getting the biggest crab for there feasts? Ego boost? Get more calls for crabs with people only wanting "jumbos" and if i didnt have them they didn't want them. What's happened to just getting crabs and enjoying them?

I agree... in NJ the minimum size is 4 1/2"  why bother... I don't like keeping anything smaller then 6" when they are running good.  Its a PIA picking through them that small.
