I'll be back down for my annual excursion to Corolla in a couple weeks. Does anyone have any reports on what's going on in the Currituck sound in the area of the Whalehead Beach Club?  I've done well the past couple years and will post some reports when I get out.

Things seems to have picked up the past couple of days on the Currituck. Crabs are heavy and pots are coming in with good numbers. You should be fine.  Have a safe trip and watch the weather. Things can get nasty fast out there.

I love the late summer and fall. We are over the hump now. Things start to slow down. The vacationers start to leave and traffic starts getting back to normal. The ducks are going to be coming in and the crabs are the biggest and heaviest of the year.

I ate dinner with TRex on Saturday night.  He says he knows where the crabs are down there.   Can't wait for the reports.

No pressure there Tom-o.    Grin

I'll be on the lookout for them.  I haven't had to venture too far from the ramp in the past couple years.  Hope to have my first report Saturday
