Hi,

Does anyone know if you can still crab off the navasink bridge?  I've heard they're going to start construction there.

Thanks....

I think you mean the Oceanic Bridge. And No, you cannot crab off of it. They have signs posted on the bridge but rarely enforced the no crabbing law but last few years people have been leaving trash behind and the Rumson police now patrol bridge with the help of the folks who work the draw bridge.

You can fish/crab on the base of the bridge that runs along the road back to the little parking lot.

gets very crowded there better get there early

Lets get Navesink River bridges straight- which one?

To the east:
OCEANIC-  Middletown to Rumson  NO CRABBING

to the west (West of Oyster Point and hi voltage overhead line crossing):
ROUTE 35  BRIDGE  in RED BANK
FRONT STREET/RIVER ROAD BRIDGE in   RED BANK  (lots and lots crab there)
RR BRIDGE  in Red Bank

Oceanic Bridge is in Rumson--no where near Route 35 or any major roadway
