Hey Guys,

Went on my first out of state hunt (rifle). Me and three buddies went to Kentucky. We were in Caldwell County. (sw part of state) The camp was called Donaldson Creek. We arrived Friday around noon. 3-day hunt. The first day was Saturday. It was nice and cold the first morning ...in the 30's. Our one buddy shot at 6:30 am...nice 10 point. That was the best weather we had the whole time. It was warm and the big bucks weren't moving. We ended up killing 6 total between 4 of us. 1 buck and 5 does. I killed two does. I'm very happy w/ the hunt. I never was a trophy hunter. Bagging two does was my idea of a great time. Don't get me wrong, I've killed a few decent racks in my time and would've loved to bag a huge racker...but, I consider this 1st out of state hunt a success.  I had a great time and brought home some meat. The outfitter could've been better. It seemed like they didn't really know too much and the stands weren't set up correctly ect. ect. We did most of the work, which is why we killed deer.
Good luck to all.
