I just got back from a trip down to Florida. At the north causeway fishing dock I counted 28 crabbing lines in the water. All connected to metal hoop traps. They had quite a few crabs in the cooler; maybe 20 to 30? Largest only looked about 5.5 to 6 inches. Nothing too big.

A friend of mine went out on 21 August with ten crab traps. Back at the dock in three hours with 30 crabs. Still waiting to hear on sizes.

Love that place don't get there as much as I'd like to since Mom & Pop passed.  North Causeway spent many days and nights shrimping and fishing off the old bridge.  My Sister lives right across the river on Bochelle Island.  Go get em shell.

I have to thank my grandfather for finding and settling in the NSB area!
I remeber when both bridges were water level or almost. It sure has changed!
Three more months and I will be retiring there! The countdown has begun!
