so, will all this rain push the crabs back to the Delaware bay from the south jersey creek tributaries? or, this late in the season will they just hunker down so they don't have to make the return trip in a week or so? the dc mumbos had just returned last week and now this. I guess what i'm asking is, where the heck will they be this coming week?

A lot of rain usually means crabs move towards the salt.   This Noreaster, however, has kept the tide in, so my guess is immediately following this storm they will be where they were prior to the storm for a day or so.   Then they start to make the run to higher salinity water.

That's what I am betting on up here in Patcong, Tuckahoe, etc.

Just tried it.    Why do you think the water here tastes like ear wax?
