hello guys
if anyone has crabbed the rt 47 bridge here and have done well, please let me know.
trying to get out of monmouth/ocean county this season and looking for a good land based spot to run a mix of handlines/traps (roughly eight).
the street view of this bridge shows their is plenty of room and includes a sidewalk
any feedback or recommendations is appreciated.
thanks

I've not attempted to fish or crab there, so I can't comment on the productivity.

Hopefully, the deer carcass visible in this street view will have been removed when you arrive to try your luck.  Grin

I've seen people crabbing there on several occasions.    Looks like there's a ready supply of bait lying there.

That's the bridge over the manumuskin creek. A tributary of the Maurice. The bridge is about 20 feet off the water and the tides really rips here. It probably could be crabbed at and ebb tide or with ALOT of lead in the traps.  Aslo the water early in summer is getting more brackish then fresh.  There are some better places close by that won't have these problems.
