Can any of you guys that have crabbed the Albemarle Sound explain how or what causes the water temp to jump from 75 east of 32 Bridge and become 87 very far west of that? Just curious. I am hoping the sensor is wrong lol  because that huge increase in temp is very good.  (and overnight)

87 is pretty hot, but water movement or lack of will change the temps drastically.

Heck it was blowing coming out of the ditch this morning with 1-2' swell, on way back it the wind fell out as did the swell....weird thing is never seen the water have a slight ripple then down middle of it slick calm but like it was it's own entity. But what causes this? Yesterday and all the previous week it was 70-73.

Think we figured the problem. Yesterday didn't notice the temp change or being 80+ again ....then today temp was 74. So we're thinking since we changed location of sensor after it got re-glassed,  the peehole's aim is a little different and toward sensor, so we're thinking a pocket had kept warm water closer to sensor the ride back in. (Hopefully)
