The Commissioner of the NJ Department of Environmental Protection has prohibited the commercial shellfish harvest, specifically the taking of more than 150 clams per day by any person, within the Sedge Islands Conservation Zone (SICZ), effective immediately.  For more information see http://www.state.nj.us/dep/wms/bmw/news.html#ao07182014 on the DEP Marine Water Monitoring website.
