As far as I am Aware you can do that.....Ron, would know that regulation for sure.....so hopefully he can chime in. Been in boats many times at night striper fishing and seen crabs swimming on top so no reason to think you can't crab that way.....

Heads up- I believe many of the boat ramps prohibit using their parking lots and ramps after hours in the area. Hopefully you have a launch site or slip

Checked the Rumson web site....ramp is open 24/7 you must purchase apermit for the ramp though....at the borough
