Regarding the mixing males and females, I didn't know that. Thanks

That's good to know, thank you. I had some crabs mixed today, and decided to let the females go, had I not, I'd of been in violation and wouldn't of even known that.

So if they are easy to eat and people like them.....what gives you the right to say they are HORRIBLE. Who the F do you think you are to decide what is good and what is [curd]. Maybe it's time you started keeping your stupid opinions to yourself. You aren't smart enough to pick up on the hints that the members have tried to give you, so I would guess you're just an idiot. Why not try and be sociable instead of obnoxious....you may actually find a friend or two. Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

I sir, find you offensive.  Sounds like any chance you get, you curse this guy out.

wow, can i get a word in? I sell mixed males all the time, they are hard crabs not lights or whitey's, good crabs. When i refer to mixed i mean mixed 1 s and 2 s just the way i catch them, make sure they are legal and into the basket, i sqeeze every crab almost, some you can tell. My price for these crabs is 150 bu. Last week i purchased 2 bu for a party since my back went out i haven't been out for 6 weeks now, anyhow i bought from another comm that i didn't know but a friend did and he sold me crabs the same way mixed 5 1/4 to some that were 8 in hard crabs price 150. just sayin.

The above is the method I use.  I picked the method up from a member.

Additionally my light crabs go into another basket, which I keep a good check on, if I happen to see one becoming sluggish, injured or begins to turn red on the top of the carpice  I will release it to have an opportunity to survive.  Additionally upon arriving at home after storage of the hard crabs I fire up the steamer and cook the lights immediately.  They the get refrigerated and picked or eaten during that week. Just my way not the right way Smiley
