We have the MD Saltwater Sportman's Association, which is really devoted mostly to fishing and trying to put watermen out of business. Oh, did I say that last part? I think a crabbers association would be a great idea, and what better place to start one from than the BCA.

This would be a great idea, I know most of the specialty plates donate a portion of proceeds to non-profit organizations, this may be an option, or may not be neccesary. We could even set up some sort of educational or scholarship fund to support students studying the Ches. Bay!

Problem with that is License plates are State issued, so don't know how one would go about getting it issued by other states as well, do you need to commit to a certain number before state will approve? Anyone have any experience on this?

The state of Pa only requires your lisence plate not match anyone else's that has been issued...and only a maximum of 7 digits..either numbers or letters

If you want to bash waterman start a post for that and I will start one for people who want to bash the recs. But not on a post of someone who had a simple legitimate question. CC

I think we all get along just fine. I just we all have a different opinion which is not always a bad thing. My wife and I have different opinions on almost everything but we still get along. Think of it like religion or politics, you generally do not bring it up in a group of people and not expect someone to argue about it.

All I said was that I feel that MSSA is trying to put commercial fishing out of business. I'm not bashing anyone. If you read some other posts today, you'll see that I am in favor of rec crabbers starting an organization of thier own, thus, I agree with the original post here

........the only thing as that commercial watermen have the MWA to voice they're opinion. The recreational crabbers has no one. I welcome it, and always welcome another side to every story. I don't always agree with one side or the other, but not having representation makes it a one sided battle and therefore easier to win. Your (REC.) fools if you don't protect yourselves!. JMO

I think the MRCA is an excellent idea.
I am willing to host the "official" MRCA forum here on this site. What do you think? Any volunteers to take ownership of this?
