I'll be dropping my traps this weekend based on Ron's success a few weeks ago down south.  Report to come on Monday.  Anyone having success around the Mullica or back in the lagoons?

I'll be dropping mine tomorrow up in Barnegat Bay in a few spots that I think might be warmer than the rest of the bay.

I had 2 comm traps in for the overnight (Sat - Sun).  I checked around 11PM and one trap had well over 15 and the other nothing.  I just put the crabs on the top of the hotel and put the trap back in until the morning.  When we checked the next day, the one trap was still empty (weird) and the second only had about 5 sooks (decent size) remaining.   We released them all.  Either the crabs figured out how to escape the trap overnight or the drunk guy across the lagoon constantly yelling at 11PM, "Ya getting any crabs?!!!!  You got any crabs?!!!" (which I ignored) took a walk to my yard at some point to see for himself.

We now know that they are out of the mud and in the lagoons nice and early.  As for my neighbor....

Great season to all.  I'll put a quick report up.
