Is the Peekytoe the same as a green crab which is used for tog?
No, the Peeky Toe Crab, is an Atlantic Rock Crab (Cancer Irroratus), and looks very similar to the Jonah Crab (Cancer Borealis). Both are brown colored and much smaller, but appear somewhat similar to their much larger cousin, the Dungeness Crab (Metacarcinus magister, formerly Cancer Magister) of the west coast. The Peeky Toe reaches a size of 5.2 inches and can be found along the Atlantic shoreline, with the Jonah Crab being roughly the same size, but which usually inhabits much deeper waters. All of these crabs have 9 to 10 "teeth" on one side of their top shell. Peeky Toes and Jonahs have been regularly used in a lot of "All You Can Eat" buffets as a cheap source of crab as they're generally by catch and don't cost anywhere near the price of Blue Crabs.

They're deep green and sometimes mottled with black, and have only 5 "teeth" on one side of their top shell. They're considered an invasive species as well as a maritime pest.
