I am interested in wading around and seeing if I can net a few soft shell crabs. I have done some clamming in Barnegat Bay with decent success.

Any tips on how to get started?

How long are there soft shells available?

Thanks!

you can not guarantee softshell crabs.  Look on any type of pilings and usually when you see a larger crab holding another crab, the crab that is being guarded is a softshell.  There is no particular way to get a softshell unless you have a holding tank and time.
