Just curious.  I used to save the biggest one outta every batch I ate just to measure.  I used to buy some big gulf ones up here in Maryland that consistently measured over 9 inches!!!

Course that was over 20 years ago.  Haven't seen any like that in quite a while.

Too bad that the big one got away.  That would be some fine eatin' at that size.  And be a good conversation piece too once you cleaned it.
