1st off, great site.  I'm new and very impressed.

I was wondering if there's an actual date you can start crabbing in nj?  I saw MD is the 1st.
Also, is there a site to find out what the water temp is in southern nj?

Hey I..go to www.scottsbt.com.....follow the fishing link..it will give you crabbing spots up and down the Jersey coast as well as tables for tides as well as water temps Wink Smiley

Thanks King.....I just printed a ton of stuff out from that page.

Do you know if there's actually a LEGAL date to start crabbing?  I'd like to go try out the boat on the next day that hits 60 but I don't want to get a fine if I do get a couple of keepers.

I see people have viewed this over 70 times so I wanted to let people know it's actually the April 16th for the bay and march 15th for all other waters.  Here's the basics......
