How is the crabbing? Heading to NC for our weeks vacation Aug 1st. Last few times we have been down we have killed them off the dock of our rental house. Just wondering how it is this yr?

where on the Albemarle? Eastern end Western end? They are spotty, and quality isn't all that awesome...some places that is. Think the sound icing over and amount of fresh(er) water has something to do with it.....On a personal catch you might be okay (depends on area) ...commercial wise, either find another job or drag out bulk crabbing

Last I heard from a comm buddy in your area was lots of girls, but a few males here and there. Pretty much volume of crabs have been east of Alligator River. Best person on this forum, who is right around corner from your place is Genecrabman ... OBX CRABS @ HALF-FAST SEAFOOD 252 202 6469

It's good at the inner banks area,   so if you are at the outer banks- you should be catching them.
