I have driven from Kissimmee to Melbourne 2 times now with no luck. I am trying to make crabbing a thing to do with my son. I am using 2 crab pots and chicken neck on lines. It was a very fun thing to do growing up. Please give me some pointers as to where and when in Melbourne area. Thank you.

I am not familiar with the Melbourne area. Stop into a local tackle shop and ask them. I'm sure they will help.

I will. I think I've become obsessed. Thank you. How about around your area?

The crabbing has slowed in my are right now but should pick up as the water temps start to drop.
There are two main fishing docks in New Smyrna. One is by the north causeway and the other is under the south causeway bridge.
There is another behind the boat ramp on the north causeway and you can fish off the dock at the new Sloop boat ramp by the airport.
There is Kennedy Park in Edgewater and Riverbreeze Park in Oak Hill. No shortage of fishing spots in the area!
Heading north there is a large fishing dock in Port Orange off of Dunlawton. Good luck when you go and please post a report.
