Crabbing in Jacksonville Late September

Crabbing is still strong up north here in the small creeks far away from the ocean. I went 9-21-15. Threw out 6 baskets and when I pulled them after 15 minutes I had 15. I used fish heads and the bones left after filleting some flounder and sea trout. The crabs really liked this. They came to it right away on my first pull. I'm about to give up chicken legs. After that there seemed like there weren't many left. I stayed another 45 minutes and got to my goal of 25, getting a few here and there. Lately the crabs have been light, with watery meat. This time they were all firm and nice. Size ranged from small to big. I hope you all have been getting some.
My New Smyrna friends, were things still crazy this year at the North Causeway dock?

Thanks for the report!
In the New Smyrna area the crabbing has slowed. I pulled my traps out of the water for repair and cleaning and just put them back in the day before yesterday. I only had one Blue Crab and one small Stone Crab yesterday. I haven't been to the north causeway dock in a while now so I can't answer your question there but no one has been crabbing off the south dock.
I went to the north causeway dock yesterday. No one was crabbing.
