830... Been averaging a lb to the trap with a 60-65% large/jumbo grade.

What rate of already harvested do you get?  I would think with the large number of claws that you have on your boat you would be getting a lot of crabs missing a claw.

On the first pull, almost none.
We are allowed to take both claws if legal.

my stone crab traps have been in the back yard for 3 yrs. now.....the crabs over here are in the inside.... you are very lucky if the folks just steal the crabs instead of the trap..

May I ask what a lb of the large or better run?  I was in Key west last week and got robbed by a resturant.  it has been more than a few yers since i had them, but the wife and I orderd a 1/2 lb, cost us 28 bucks for 2 claws....the waiter asked are you sure you dont want a 1 lb instead....they were very good, but not worth 14.00 a claw just wonders, cause your boat looked like it had approx 250,000 dollas worth....lol

I did ask, and was told the price, but I really wanted them, and i understand I paid them, however I was just wondering what the crabbers gets for 1lb. that all.

Boat prices here started at $8(mediums), $16(large), and $21(jumbo)..
Keys are always higher as Joe's Stone Crab in Miami controls the market in south Florida (and some years everywhere).

Fish house had $16/ lb in your large, then added $2-3/lb to cover their expenses and a small profit(handling, employees, workmans comp, property taxes, etc.)
If they went to a middleman they added another $2-3/lb to the price.
We are now at $20-22/lb, restaurants usually triple the price paid for an entree to make up their expenses.
So 1/2/lb @ $28 on the menu is inline with all other restaurants.

Blue crab prices up in Baltimore certainly reflect my post.

Costs me aprox $1300/day to crab, roughly 100lbs of mixed claws, not to bad of a ratio.

2009, cost me $1500/day to crab (high fuel & bait), crab prices sucked , averaging $4.25/lb, took 300lbs to meet expenses.
had 4 years of break even or lose, time to make a little change..
For a change. Cheesy
