Today was one of those days. Epic crabbing, perfect weather, and good friends and family.

Crabs are here big time so i wipped out the 1200' line last night. Males were in 5-8'. Sooks were out in 12+. Chicken necks of course Grin. I'll keep it short. It was EPIC dipping that line. I culled super hard. Not one clicker in the cooler. I filled a 5 gallon bucket with the clickers. I threw back all papershells. Ended up tossing the clickers, too. Started at 7:40, done by 9:30, then we took a boat ride because it  was beautiful out. Ran into 2 good friends from the fourm, which was cool. Oh yeah, caught a nearly 8.5" crab. Most crabs were 6-6.5". A few 7's.. not a ton.

Get out there crabbers. Hit your favorite spot. Take a buddy, give a crab to a friend or neighbor. It's amazing out there.

Fatties. This was in a very short time. I was shaking them off the line as I pulled it in.

Nice going buddy!  I was on the west side Saturday. Haven't had time to get it on the site yet. We had a rediculous day as well. Windy though. Looks like you had a much nicer day. Those rivers are infested. I don't think it matters where you drop your line.  The wife was dipping as fast as she could. Only her second time. Crabs were flying everywhere. I was laughing my a** off. Glad you had a good day with the fam. That's what it's all about.

Thanks, Straw Hatter. If I kept every legal size crab. We would of been at a bushel in about 45 minutes. It was awesome. Crabs are stacked out there.

Awesome catch!  It's times like these that remind me I need a boat.  I love crabbing from the bridge but man can it be painfully slow sometimes!  Nothing beats fall crabs no matter how you can get at them.  Great job!
