Great year and good job I thought us packing 28 lbs away was a lot but you sure beat the pants off that. I gave away about 10 bushels this year and we ate crab every weekend and during the week. I also have 48 soft crabs stacked away that I traded for and bought from local guys for the winter.

I swear by a tip from Jack (I think).  Meat goes into a container, fill with milk & freeze.  After frozen, I pop the block out of the plastic container and vacuum seal.  Lasts for at least a year.  Milk helps to hydrate and prevent freezer burn.  To thaw just open the bag & drop the block in a strainer over a bowl.  The milk thaws & runs out leaving nicely preserved meat.

Didn't get out as much as I would have liked in 2015.  Can't complain about the number of crabs, but only a few pounds found their way to the freezer.  The rest were picked & promptly eaten!
