Pulled 18 pots today.  things are slowing down.  Brought home 14 very large crabs and nothing else.  Water temp there is 68 degrees and salinity is around 32ppm.
t seems the half size (12" tall) t pots are catching as good as the taller ones.  Will be getting more wire next week to make about 14 of them!  They also seem to catch more Stone crabs when set in the right area!

Thanks for the report! Still doing well I see. How deep of water are you in now?
I like the smaller traps myself with doors for easy removal of catch!

Water depth at low tide is less than 2'!  Actually I had to use my throw hook to pull a few traps last time.  Sometomes I have to use my push pole to get the boat close enough!

I caught my last crab 10-23-2015 when the water temp fist started to drop.
In 2014 my last Blue Crab was 12-4-2014. I figured the low water temperature this year pushed them out to deeper water.
If you are still getting them in 2 feet of water maybe something else is going on here? I did better with Stone Crabs this year.
