my parents live on the bay side in rehobith and need a spot to get a few crabs can anyone help them out a little all thier getting is a few here and thier need atleast a dozen to have lunch  thanks for any help  ken

no delaware...im hopeing its better this year but will see i do know they have to put them turtle guards on thier pots so that does effect the bounty but it cant do that much i suspects thanks

I don't know exactly sure were we went but there are a lot of canals in the bay. It was my first time out on the water in Delawary but most of the traps were right at the mouths of the smaller canals. I suppose becouse boats can't go back into them. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Try the assowoman bay. We NAILED them last year. We made 3 trips towards the end of the year and came home with a cooler full every time.

Your parents can crab from the Rosedale Beach Public Pier off rt 24.  They can handline from it and it is close to Rehoboth.  The 2004 Delaware fishing guide shows where it is.  If they have a boat then they will be close to good crabbing areas up the Indian River.
Also on rt.24 by the LoveCreek bridge is a crabbing area.  I think they charge to crab there like the spot next to Whitecaps in Oak Orchard.
