Ok so I bought some of the Danielson pacific traps and am winding P. cord onto them to reduce the mesh size to the 1.5 inch reg for traps in florida(holes are too large stock for blues, which made me look at my promar traps, they get decent reviews catching wise, but durability sucks supposedly, anyway to the point, the nylon mesh is way less than 1.5 inches on these yet there are several reviews of folks using them for blue crab. ( example of trap http://www.promarnets.com/promar/products.aspx?Cat=7&Item=61) ( yes I know what always done isn't right, and whats right isn't always done)

SO my guess is these traps are not legal for catching crab in FL. water., SO my next question is, what kayak friendly collapsible trap is? Should I just trot line it? Wait until I get a bigger boat? just handline with pool noodles as floaters?

yup looking at those now too and kcrabpots, just concerned about how they would go on a yak. would still weigh less than the "modified" danielson traps but be way taller. Built a lot of rabbit hutches in my day so may just break down and build my own FL. legal collapsibles, but the idea of supporting a forum member is nice too.

Awesome idea, gonna steal it. how do you put names on your traps? dog tags? thinking about using cheap plastic key holders and gooping the sides.

next question, amount of traps, two daughters 1 requires license 1 does not, can we use 15 of these or because underage no traps? an
