Ok so I bought some of the Danielson pacific traps and am winding P. cord onto them to reduce the mesh size to the 1.5 inch reg for traps in florida(holes are too large stock for blues, which made me look at my promar traps, they get decent reviews catching wise, but durability sucks supposedly, anyway to the point, the nylon mesh is way less than 1.5 inches on these yet there are several reviews of folks using them for blue crab. SO my guess is these traps are not legal for catching crab in FL. water., SO my next question is, what kayak friendly collapsible trap is? Should I just trot line it? Wait until I get a bigger boat? just handline with pool noodles as floaters?
