No need to submit. Just take a 10"er to a check station and they give u a yellow ticket for the entry and a citation in the mail.

Nice crab Jode.  I'm always afeared to hold them by the claws for fear they will drop one or both.  Am I off base with that?

I guess it could happen, but it hasn't too me except with smaller crab.  Ethan wasn't gonna hold it any other way! Lol

That is one FINE specimen.  Clean and colorful and in perfect condition.  This could be the winner. Throwing it back though?  Huh I mean, how much longer does a crab like that have to live anyway?  He is an old timer.  And regarding the claws dropping, I also find that more with the smaller crabs and if you hold it by a single claw rather than both at the same time.  Big smile on your kid says a lot.

Probably not long, maybe he survives to shed again 🦀, maybe not.  We didn't catch many that night( storms came in) so not really worth messing up the kitchen for a few crabs.

Historically speaking the winners have always been closer to 9" or over. Lots of big crabs coming out of Md. This year already.
