we all know that in a year were gonna have traps stolen.  but i had a large amount get stolen over night, to the tune of 32 traps.  ive notified every game warden in our county, but it looks as if i wasnt the only one the theives hit.  according to the LEO's there was close to 70 traps stolen over the last week or so outta cristmas bay.  i hope that the sorry piece of excrement falls off his boat head first into a reef, and then feeds the crab.  if your planning on setting pots in my area you might wanna invest in some game cams.  also if anyone see's some yellow shepherd wire traps with a black baffel and baitwell, for sale anywhere let me know as the wardens want to catch up to this thief.

Sorry to hear you got robbed. It sucks when that happens to a recreational crabber but when they steal from a man feeding his family they deserve to get locked up for a long time.

I've had a few stolen here in Galveston County, but never anything like that.  The game wardens did recover three of them for me last year. I'll keep an eye out for any for sale in this area.

I am about to be licensed for pots in Md and the thought has occurred to me that I might build my pots so differently using two or even three colors of wire might deter this [curd].
I am small time so the wire colors would probably be stupid. Any thoughts on the idea.
