Not really a recipe but putting corn in your steamer along with the crabs is a good mix. Might try potatoes later in the season to see if that comes out just as well

I tried that last weekend. But I waited till approx. 8 mins left.  I was not sure if I should have the corn in the whole 23 minutes I steam.  Is this correct?

That's pretty much what we do, steam the crabs for a bit then add corn. I have thrown in red potatoes. But corn and crabs is great even without. Sometimes I throw in shrimp.

I through red potatoes and corn in and keep them in the entire time. I have learned to keep the corn in the husk. If not it has a strong vinegar taste.
