My son and I went to the same creek off the lower Potomac that I have been having good luck in since mid June.  Trotline with chicken necks in 7-8 ft of water and 6 traps in 6 and 9 ft of water.  Trying to cover different depths. Started crabbing at 0730 and quit at 1115.  Kept 13 keepers over 6 inches, about 1/2 dozen females (all released) and 3 doublers.  Very slow and hot day and depth didn't seem to matter. The crabs just didn't seem to be there.  I don't know if the creek is crabbed out or maybe the muddy water slowed them down.  Fun time with my son even though we didn't catch many.
