FWIW, Capt Williecrab went a few weeks ago and did ok. Down By The Creek, and Dividing Creek are across the road from each other. The bridge on rt 553 separates the 2 businesses. There is a restaurant there, Down By The Creek also. This was for sale/lease last fall/winter, I believe. Anyway, if you find one you'll find the other. Beaver Dam is a few miles north on 553 also.

If you are going to use natural bug repelant try Burts Bees Herbal Insect Repellent (wwwburtsbees.com). I have never used it myself but I heard it works OK. If you do try let me know how it works. I dont think the greenhead start to swarm untill the last weeks in June.

Hi Folks:
The last couple of years out at Dividing Creek, we did not encounter any flying pests!!!, although we were prepared in our Crabbing Survival Kit.

Now, we have only ever been able to out there in the Late Fall!!!

I Hope this HELPS!!!

The green heads usually swarm from late June till early/mid Sept. The Strawbery flies/nats (The little black biting ones) are out all the time. Just hope the wind in blowing a little.
